Ontario Power Generation – Tiverton, Ontario

MJN & Associates, LLC was subcontracted by the Cochrane Group to assist with the design, layout and construction of a 6 million dollar automated washer extractor plant for Ontario Power Generation, located on-site of their nuclear facility in Tiverton, Ontario.

The project held unique challenges due to the constraints in the nuclear industry with regards to wash process, equipment needs, and effluent processing. The plant was completed in November 1999, and is currently processing the textile requirements for three power plants in Ontario.

Weyburn, Melville and Humboldt – Saskatchewan

MJN & Associates, LLC was commissioned to develop the laundry specifications, space, and equipment requirements for three separate projects in the communities of Weyburn, Melville, and Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

The projects are a component of a consortium redeveloping acute and long-term healthcare capacity for the Province of Saskatchewan.

West Coast General Hospital and Multi-Level Care Facility – Port Alberni, BC

MJN & Associates, LLC was commissioned to develop the conceptual design and equipment specifications for a laundry to be included in the new West Coast General Hospital development project. Options and alternatives were examined, and the final report set out the recommendations for maintaining and retrofitting existing equipment, the purchase of new equipment, site layout, and procedures for the new laundry.

MJN & Associates, LLC worked with the Architects, Consulting Engineers, and a Laundry Engineer to start-up and commission the new Laundry.

MJN & Associates, LLC was commissioned by DGBK Architects and the Kitimat & Area Health Council to provide laundry layout advice, equipment specifications and tendering assistance, and training and commissioning support for the new Kitimat Hospital & Health Centre currently in the final stages of construction.
